Join us as we immerse the littlest of readers in story & play to foster a love for reading while igniting early literacy skills. Our 1-hr class will feature an immersive read-aloud followed by intentional play experiences tailored to extend the story theme, building connections to the world!

About the event
Join us as we immerse the littlest of readers (2 to 4 yrs old) and their grown-ups in story and play to foster their love for reading while igniting their early literacy skills. This one-hour class will feature an immersive read-aloud of Denise Fleming's In the Tall, Tall Grass and intentional play experiences tailored to extend the vocabulary, theme, and story content to build connections to the world. Experiences will include sensory tables, story-inspired artwork, building with blocks, light table creations, theme-related books to read together, and story retelling. If you love our story selections, you can purchase copies to take home!
We will host this class in the backspace of our bookstore, sectioning it off to keep our sensory activities contained and away from the rest of our store inventory. This class does take place before the store opens at 10AM.
